Research operations

Planning & Conducting Public Health Studies

Turn a defensible study design into clear field procedures. Eight expanded written lessons cover sample-to-workload planning, eligibility and recruitment, questionnaire development, translation and pilot testing, consent and community engagement, incident handling, data protection and quality assurance.

This is the operational course in the ACES research pathway. Design theory and core epidemiological measures are developed in the companion courses; here you build practical standard operating procedures and a field-readiness dossier. Allow about 4 hours including exercises.

Worked examples are fictional. Protocols, consent materials and real data collection require the appropriate local and institutional review.
